Snickerdoodles

1 cup butter
2 cups sugar
2 eggs
1/4 cup milk
1 tsp. vanilla
3 3/4 cups flour
1/2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 tsp. salt
cinnamon and sugar mixture

Cream butter, sugar, and eggs in large mixing bowl.  Add milk and vanilla.  In separate bowl, combine flour, soda, cream of tartar, and salt.  Add flour mixture to mixing bowl.  Beat well until blended.  Roll by tablespoonfuls in hands, roll in cinnamon-sugar mixture, and put on cookie sheet.  

Bake at 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes.  DO NOT let the tops get brown or they will be too hard!
