Beef Stroganoff

1 lb of beef, cut into small pieces
1 med onion, chopped
1/4 cup butter
2 Tbsp flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp garlic salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1 4oz can mushroom stem and pieces, drained
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 cup sour cream

Cook and stir beef and onion in butter until beef is light brown. Stir in flour, salt, garlic salt, and pepper. Then add mushrooms. Cook, stirring constantly, 5 min. Stir in soup and 1 can of water. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly; reduce heat. Simmer uncovered 10 min. Stir in sour cream; heat through. Serve over noodles or rice or baked potatoes.
